After returning home Nick visited his doctor and discussed the extreme cramping that he had endured during the RAAM.
The week prior to the RAAM, Nick had multiple major dental procedures. It was determined that due to these procedures and medications administered he had sustained a blood infection and poisoning. Once Nick started RAAM and endured the heat and intense physical exertion his body started to shut down.
We are all thankful that Nick stopped when he did because things could have progressed unfavorably. He is on the mend and is looking forward to heading over to Annecy France to race. He wants to again thank all of his supporters.
